I happened to tune into a question and answer session this afternoon. The speaker spoke about the Zionist 'vision' to create a Greater Israel stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates.

I think that facts speak much louder than alledged 'visions'. Look at the map of Israel at the time of independence in 1948 - it was tiny. Israel accepted it - but the Arab countries all around attacked and as is normal in war, the victor made territorial gains.

Again in 1967 Israel was attacked and won the West Bank among other teriitory.

The Arab countries around Israel have consistently initiated attacks.

Israel pulled out of Gaza - and now that is used as a springboard for attacks against Israel.

EVERY nation has the right to live in peace and security.

It is obvious that if Israel is to live in security then it must have defendable borders.

With a few rare exceptions, "most governments [of the developing countries] have not been willing to act counter to neoliberal policy....
